U.S. Marine Corps Network Communications Infrastructure Systems Upgrade

IGS provided helpdesk support throughout the period of performance, to include coverage until Government acceptance of the system. Marine Corps Information Technology Center (MCITC) users were able to contact the contractor via a Marine Corps unique 1-800 number that was specific to the project. Once the contractor received the call, a ticket was generated, and work commenced to diagnose and resolve the issue. We tracked all tickets specific to the project and delivered them to the customer. IGS also provided an on-site Resident Service Support Specialist (RS3) for an agreed upon timeframe after Government acceptance of the system. This individual was knowledgeable of the systems provided under this contract and provided support for the delivered hardware and software. With the on-site RS3, we were able to expedite trouble tickets to resolution without delays.

IGS provides on-call server maintenance support for all USMEPCOM locations. Upon receipt of a service request, we provide a written report comparing existing facilities and the desired end state under System/Subsystem Design Description (SSDD). With approval from USMEPCOM, we then implement our recommended solution. IGS coordinates activities with the USMEPCOM designated official prior to starting any work. Our staff also documents changes to the network infrastructure and provides progress reports to USMEPCOM.
